  12. Ahmed Adem says:

  13. Mario says:

    Dear all,

I am not here to blame or denigrate dead leaders. What I want to say here now is this: As we all know, they (politicians and like) go abroad for their treatments when they are gravely sick and if they don’t make it they die there and their coffins flown back home for burial. This has been the trend and has been consistent for quite a long time.

Well, this might sound okay with them and some of us as long as they can afford to pay for their treatments, travel, etc. But there is a serious flaw here. The money they pay in millions for their treatment, etc., is not that they made it themselves, but taken from the people who made it in the first place. This is very antagonistic to the people. We need a solution to this everlasting problem. Here is the solution I suggest which can benefit the politicians and the rest of Ethiopians.

If they put the money they spend abroad in millions for their treatments and other expenses, a couple of hospitals with the state of the art can be built and staffed with well-trained physicians and skilled health care workers in the country. They can be diagnosed early for their ailments and also be treated there with the comfort of their families instead of going abroad and enriching wealthy countries.

If they build one or two good quality hospitals, they can at least cut the cost of travel, hotels, accommodation, food, etc. etc. and save the country some money and the respect/dignity of being treated at home. Simply put, what will rain for them can also drizzle for the rest of Ethiopians. We can all benefit from such a healthy working situation to some degree.

    May rationality/wisdom outlive human stupidity!

    • Daniel says:

Great point!! While expanding primary health care throughout the country in commendable, it should not be at the expense of the stagnation or decline in the number and quality of referral hospitals in the country. If the government provide intensive for setting up modern hospitals with state of the art equipment, they could easily attract hundreds of highly qualified medical doctors and specialist from the Ethiopian diaspora and also curb the flight of new medical doctors out of the country.

    • kaleab hailu says:

dear mario, all you said is in good wishing but you have to prioritize our country’s needs. We need millions of dollars to build a state of art hospital which is easier said than done in Ethiopia. we have to address a lot of problems before we can even imagine having the state of art technology as is found abroad. we still on our infrastructure development stage, and we have a long way before we get to the point we can administer treatments, surgeries and specialized medical procedures. And one more thing, if a person can come out alive after spending whatever you said they spend, it is a win. That is what we should keep in mind as human beings and not the money spent. no offense, that is my priority.

    • Name (required) says:

Until you build the hospital, shall they sleep to death with their illness? Let us consider the pain of others as our own, let alone leaders.

  14. kassaberihun says:

you are hero of heroes ,as you and your commerades teach as ,being hero means standing on the side of your poeple’s interest brings loosing your life, and that death is adeath with in which life does exst. May GOD rest your soul in heaven& and let us die for the reason you die

  15. Name (required) says:

The death of President of Oromia National Regional State & Chairperson of Administrative Board of Wollega University, Alemayehu Atomsa is realy heartbreaking. But the cheery fact is that he dies with true heart b/c he lived for people unlike corruptors & rent seekers. May rest his soul! We missed our great leaders just within two years, Alemayehu & Meles

  16. Gezaee says:

This is very young age; He died of preventable diseases.

  17. Betremo says:

Farmers near Nazret, Ethiopia are abandoning their farms because they were ordered by President Alemayehu Atomsa to sell their products to nooneelse but to the “Governmental wholesale distributor” located in Nazret. Eventhough President Alemayehu Atomsa blamed the Federal government for this totally anti-free ecomic policy, many say the policy can be reversed by the next president.

Greece proverb says” if you want your name is call after you dies done good things for your society and you got recognition from all people and history is call your name always like some who has soul”so presedent of oromia regional state Alemayehu atomsa his dies was unexpected and all people of region is sad because he done many thing for public ,for the first time he one who fight corruption, he expands different kind of infrastructure for the society ,by march with people he participate in different kind of activity ,specially he focus on pastoralist area and to list his work the space is not enough so as a generally human being are mortal, this means during your life time you have put one things for your generation like him so we lost boss, visionary leaders, man of work not man of word etc i wish happiness for your family and RIP FOR YOU

i am very sore rest en peace

  27. Abegaz says:

It is shame he died of Typhoid fever. It is curable disease and there is no need for him to go to Bangkok for typhoid treatment. The guy was one of the least corrupted official of EPRDF except that he is a tool to TPLF. He arrested many Oromo officials from Sebeta and Nazareth. There is no need to sell one’s soul for the corrupt EPRDF government. Serve your people honestly and die a noble death. Ethiopians will love you whether you are EPRDF member or not.

  28. Jhonny says:

RIP BROTHER, he was great son of ETHIOPIA. THIS IS BIG LOSS FOR EPRDF. ESAT was more cincerned about the moneywhich was spent for his medication he deserves more than that not 38,000,000 he deserves more than BILLIONS OF dillars. I wish if he was saved by that money. It is great loss for OROMIYA and for ETHIOPIA ad a whole. I am sure he has aspired many ALEMAYEHU’s in his life. Hopefully, they will cintinnue his job in the future. RIP.

  29. Jarso says:

Teddy Afro’s comment ‘For me, Menilik’s unification campaign was a Holy War’ drove Alemayehu Atomsa to his grave as Abebe Gellaw’s comment drove Meles Zenawi to his grave .

Please (awramba times) dont spread very bad information (he died by typhoid fever). This is far from the reality. Dont lie. This is joking. Even though come back to search the true case for his death. He was a leader who sacrified his life for his nation to take their step forward socially, economically, . . .

  41. Gadisa says:

When the hell EPDRF started asigning a person who is relevant to his people. If he was loyal to his ppl (Oromiya) he should has been in the jail.shut up brain washed people!

  42. Ayalew Talema says:

RIP the soul of Ato Alemayehu Atomsa. As far as my information soource is concerned, he was very honest and dedicated person throughout his life. I learn many things about his personality after his death. Let all of us learn how to do good things for the nation and for humanity at large. Every thing, including our life, will pass. But, only good deeds and good names remain forever. RIP his soul.

  43. Mekdes says:

Gadisana Jarrso you guys are using the Oromo name , it seems because the message you are deceminating look like the guys who were dancing infront of the Embassy by Gondeirigna Music when Meles died a year ago. You are their friend, Our culture has respect for dead people atleast until.their eyes will dilute. So stop vomiting your venoum. If you want you can simg your Gonderigna Music. ESAT HAS ALREADY STARTED PAINTING HIM AS WORTHLES MAN. FOR THEM NO ONE IS BETTER THAN Esayas.

  44. Weyane poisons you! says:

    Typhoid fever, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

Weyane has poisoned how many Oromos, Amharas, even Tigreans???

Evidence? Alemayehu & the late Tigrean singer. Nefs yimar. Who is next? Watch out!!!

  45. Rida Tassew says:

We lost him not at the right time

  46. A.S. says:

I heard many praise this guy Alemayehu for increasing taxation and the government’s income. If Ethiopia had an accountable government his actions of increasing the government’s income would have been commendable. Since Ethiopia’s government is an organized crime junta we need another Robin Hood type president to succeed him and dig where the real ADHARIS berried their money and take it from them not like Alemayehu fine people for showing their honest hard earned money ..

  47. Peter Yoh says:

He left behind a profound legacy that will be used by others. Let his community that he served sincerely until his death take care of his young family. God rest his soul in peace.

  48. JILCHA says:

First of all I want to say RIP for Mr. Alemayehu Atomsa. I am totally ashamed of the reason for his death. At this time world is on the line of healing Tumors(cancers) and how come Typhoid kills this person.bear in mind he is receiving treatment @ Bankok………Any way since illiterate EPRDF’s cadere doesn’t have a hint about the disease I can take it as a mistake of illiterate,,,,,,,shame for EPRDF

  49. jarso says:

he is hero of oromia also ethiopia but i have suspicion is he died by the typhoid fever as you think. it is better if you stop to update such extra ordinary reason for the death of alemayo. it is better if you try to say he is died by poison that is given for him before 2 years. thank you. when i read this news i feel ashamed.

    • jarso says:

hehehehehehehehehehehehhehehhehehehehehehehehehh..kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. typhoid fever? amazing. fuck woyane up side down ok. my i tell you the meaning of typhoid fever= is a common worldwide bacterial disease transmitted by the ingestion of food or water contaminated with the feces of an infected person, which contain the bacterium Salmonella enterica enterica, serovar. but alamayo ingest= poison.
