A Riposte to Earsasu’s Gleeful libel (Dagim Dirba)
A Riposte to Earsasu’s Gleeful libel
Hold your horses. There is nothing to turn Somersault!
Poor unsharpened Pencil (ERSASU)!
By Dagim Dirba
I read Earsasu’s Rejoinder Catapulted towards Minister Redwan’s interview Posted on Awramba times. It began with some left-handed compliments and went on picking two points.
The first one was regarding the corporate vs. corporeal (Corporal) interest and the other was about the Western NGO’s and their bigwigs. I have tried to decipher substances from barbs. I had to begin with what looked beguiling before touching upon the obvious one.
Though it is hard to tell at first glance, whether the certitude Ersasu purported to have is for want of sagacity or maliciously misconstrued, it soon becomes too conspicuous to miss. It is both. The good thing is he admitted the former. He openly said that he never heard or read about such a thing as Corporal or corporeal interest.
Though I am not in any way interested in indulging in a knock- down -drag -out argument over the inconsequentialities, it is compelling to shade light on the issue as I see it. Having watched the whole interview, I Presume that it is not obfuscated to understand what it dealt with. In my book, it was meant to reiterate the obvious officiousness and presumptuous tendencies of “the protectors of this right and watchers of that right.” And it was meant to divulge that their true nature is driven by ideological interest rather than the moral imperative as they purport.
If such “I am holier than-thou” saga is an ideologically driven, then it doesn’t come out of altruism. Therefore it has nothing to do with heavenly but has everything to with earthly interests. Earthly interests stem from material want or even lust for power which is eventually to be consummated as material fetishism. In other words, if it is not spiritual or moral then, it is earthly; and hence Corporeal (corporal). It is devoid of devoutness for the life hear-after. Therefore it is also to mean that it isn’t Philanthropic as such.
Let’s come back to the word corporate interest which Ersasu wanted to make us believe that he has read and known about it adequately. How do the protagonists of the drama materialize their game? They need pretexts. They also need governments which would serve without questions. Hence they select and coddle some forces such as political parties, media and personalities from other walks of life who are believed to have some sort of influence. In short they need running dogs in the developing Countries.
Who do they serve if they disguise themselves as if they are not interested in power game and material (Corporal) needs? The obvious answer is, they serve governments. Who then these governments serve in turn? Again the obvious answer is the colossal corporations of their respective Countries. Here comes the issue of corporate interest .Therefore, those watchers and defenders of this or that right serve only as a conduit to the corporate interests.
Let’s come back again to the Corporal Vs Corporate interest. Do corporations eat or drink? Of course not .It is humans–Therefore Human interest. In the final analysis it is apparently devoid of spiritual or heavenly but geared by corporeal or earthly needs and interests.
One Big Question to poor Ersasu! What if corporal or corporeal was misused instead of corporate interest? Should people be demeaned for lack of eloquence in English? Does Impeccable English guarantee that a person is paragon and erudite?
You still think speaking English is superior to doing so in Chinese Mandarin.
I humbly beg to differ for it is lack of a modicum of horse sense. You can’t impugn people for that even if what you thought you found out were cogent.
Any ways, have you ever felt ashamed when you lack eloquence in Ethiopian languages? How many of them have you ever tried to understand?
What a captious, lambaste and libel!
What a callous and imbecilic detractor!
What an unsharpened Pencil!
Wake up and smell the Coffee!
To give the viewers a respite, I will come back to the other misguided remarks regarding the pedigree of the fat cats in the said NGOs.
