Bomb Blast Hits Ethiopia’s Anwar Mosque, causes injuries
Getachew Reda, head of government communication Affairs office, told Bloomberg that the explosion hit Anwar Mosque wounding more than a dozen people as worshipers left Friday prayers at about 1:30 p.m.
According to eye witnesses, Federal and city police arrived at the scene shortly after the blast in Mercato market area, the nation’s largest open market and a busy district of Addis Ababa.
Getachew affirmed to Bloomberg that there are no fatalities “so far” in the incident. But no other details have been released.
