Director Generals of INSA and METEC Submit Resignation Letters to PM Abiy Ahmed
Awramba Times (Addis Ababa) – The director general of Information Network Security Agency (INSA) and director general of Metals and Engineering Corporation (MeTEC), Major General Teklebrhan Wolearegay and Major General Kinfe Dagnew, respectively, have reportedly submitted letters of resignation to the newly appointed prime minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) last monday, reliable sources disclosed to Awramba Times.
Accourding to our sources, PM Abiy has refused the resignation requests of both senior military officers and didn’t yet decide on the matter.
METEC, a military-run Ethiopia’s largest industrial complex corporation responsible for the production of military equipment and civilian products was established in 2010 and works with several foreign companies such as Alstom from France, and Spire Corporation from the United States. While INSA was established to provide technical and intelligence assistance to government agencies with an aim to ensuring the transformation of the nation’s high-tech and security industry.
