I hope you are happy you traitor. Let’s see when you will realize how the world works just for your sake.

Meles has done more for the people of Ethiopia than anyone that rolled Ethiopia. I am sure history will be fair to his legacy as it will judge him for what he has done.

    • Abissynia says:

Jo, Meles is gonna die soon (may be in a week or in a month time). I wish he didn’t die before I see him prosecuted because he has so many people’s blood on his hand.

      • Jo says:

Thankfuly history can’t be blinded by hate. The achivements of Meles Zenawi will shine like a bright star in a dark night. Ethiopia is no more the country millions die from lack of food.

PM Meles inherited a country with empty coffers, but in just twenty years, he has transformed Ethiopia into the 4th largest growing economy in the Africa from 16th when he took over; for the last eleven years the country’s economy has been growing annually at the rate of 10% or over and the indications are that this will continue for the foreseeable future. Foreign investors buoyed by the prevailing stability and investment incentives put in place are flocking into the country in droves, and it will not be too long before Ethiopia joins the family of middle income countries. To make the country attractive for foreign investors, PM Meles’ administration is spending billions of dollars on infrastructure including 5000 kilometres of railway network. Only recently contracts worth $3.5 billion were signed with Turkish and Chinese companies to link Mekelle with Weldia and Weldia with Awash, and the contract for the final link to the port of Djibouti is expected to be awarded to an Indian company. Work for railway transport for Addis is already in progress and should be in operation in the not too distant future.
PM Meles has firmly fixed his sights on the industrialisation of Ethiopia and to this end the investment on hydro-power energy has been taking place for some time now. Various dams in different parts of the country have been constructed over the years and the deficit in energy consumption is whittled down bit by bit. The PM has become the first Ethiopian leader to call the Egyptians bluff and gave the go ahead for the construction of the mega Millennium Dam by re-routing a portion of the Abay River. The PM also successfully rebuffed the now deceased Arab leader Kaddafi who for years incessantly attempted to move the head quarters of the African Union (AU) from Addis Ababa to Tripoli. The Libyan tyrant is dead and the AU has a magnificent new building, and the issue of relocation is now sorted once and for all.
The PM’s diplomatic skills were further put into good use when he successfully negotiated with the Italian government to uproot the 1,800 years old Axum Obelisk that was shipped to Rome in 1937, and return it to its rightful place. On the other hand, various Greek governments have failed in their endeavours to repatriate the Parthenon Sculptures, also known as the Elgin Marbles that were confiscated from Greece and in public display at the British Museum in London since 1817. Manuscripts, statues and other objects of high historical significance are displayed in the museum and the likelihood of those returning to their original homes is negligible indeed.
During the Ethio-Eritrea war, Eritrea had the upper hand on the diplomatic front, but in no time, the hard working and shrewd PM reversed this trend in Ethiopia’s favour despite the fact that The Hague’s verdict was for Eritrea. This miniature entity has now become a failed pariah state where its youth are trampling over each other to abandon their mother land ignoring the dangers emanating from Arab couriers engaged in forcibly removing human organs for sale. The PM also successfully managed to place a wedge between the Eritrean people and Esayass, and the people no longer blame ‘woyane’ for their grave predicaments ; application of similar skills have further brought about the complete fragmentation of the OLF, and whatever is left of this organisation, poses no serious threat to the stability of Ethiopia.
PM Meles’ impeccable achievements in all spheres have been acknowledged by the world, and he is routinely invited to attend various meetings of the G-8 countries representing Africa. The strong, dependable and agile Ethiopian Defence Force which is the creation of Meles is invariably invited to go to hot spot countries such as Somalia, South Sudan, Brundi, Liberia, and Darfur to keep the peace. The modern and highly effective Ethiopian Intelligence Service (EIS) is also Meles’ brain child, and the EIS is succeeding in sniffing out terrorists such as Al-shabab before they commit heinous crimes. Because of Kenya’s involvement in Somalia, Al-Shebab is causing havoc by detonating explosives in the border areas, where as in Ethiopia, the EIS has kept the terrorist outfit at bay and the millions of Somalis living in Ethiopia have played their part in thwarting potential threats.
PM Meles has done a sterling job for his country and he will be remembered as the man who made Ethiopia self sufficient in food production, and for laying a strong foundation for future growth that will make Ethiopia the ‘Tiger’ economy of the Horn. The widespread health coverage and the expansion of higher education will also be his long lasting legacy.

        • Deme says:

Realy Ethiopian progress in the time of meles is the result of Ethiopian effortfull struggle with poverty and dictatorship Ethiopians have more power to achieve more results if the blood suckers of woyane go to the hell

  2. BBZ says:

Jo You may probably BE a cousin to this Idiot and it s a disgrace to say meles has donE more for the people of Ethiopia. Shame on YOU.

  3. Alem says:

It is interesting that the news of Meles’ health is relayed to Ethiopians by a Senegalese!

  4. T.Goshu says:

Although it may sound rude or harsh to those who wish good health and many more ytrannical and miserable ruling years under the very cynical person( ato Meles), I have to say that the innocent people of Ethiopia cannot afford to tolerate and shoulder the unprecedented humuliation they have experienced for the last quarter of a century any more. The innocent people of Ethiopia have no any illusion that the disapearance of Ato Meles because of death or some kind of critical disorder will bring a miraculous change . They are well aware that to bring about the change they desperately aspire ,it is absolutely necessary to fight against the evil-driven political system and network in a well-designed,well-determined and well-coordinated manner . They know very well that although the demise of a “leader or leaders ” has its own impact on the the intactness of the ruthless ruling circle, it should not be exagereted unnecessarily. On the other hand, the people of Ethiopia are not expected and should not expected to be sad and mourn about the demise or death or diappearance of the mastermind of dictatorial regime who has caused unbelievable level of dehumanization to this generation and who puts the very survival of the country at a very dangerous risk . This very dery deep and honest feeling has no any thing to do(as his cronies and some “innocent” citizens say) with the question of morality , religous value, taboo, or the culture of Ethiopianism for that matter. That is what it is !! I do not think I need somebody to preach or convince me to mourn on the death of a dictator who stayed in power for 20 years by dehumanizing, torturing , and killing the innocent people of Ethiopia. Yes, I agree with the idea of bringing about genuine democracy ,peace and shared prosperity through reconcliation . But, that is a liklihood only and only if a dictator and his parasitic cronies regret and make sincere apology. Sadly enough, Ato Meles did not show any sense of regert for last 20 years and even at his time of life and death situation. And neither his top deadly parasitic cadres. This clearly shows how dictatorship is extremely ugly.

It is an open secret that most African leaders continue palying their dirty games under the name of African Union ( the club and the talking show of dictators) at the very expense of the hard working but politically humuliated and economically impoverished people of Africa.

Any way , one thing is becoming clear ! And that is people are saying enough is enough!!

    • Abdi says:

If a lion dies another lion will succeed. There are some people who want an Orthodox christian Ethiopia led by some one like pig Haile Selase. This will never happen. Ethiopia is multi ethnic, multi religion country and PM Meles is the only Ethiopian who recognized this fact. I hope extremists can I understand my comment

  6. ezima says:

Hi guys where is bed time story EPRDF telling the world about the democracy and the rights of the people to know, the EPRDF regime brought to the people of Ethiopia? Finally they (The EPRDF) proved us that Senegalese presedent is closer to us than Melese and his party. We heard the good news from our best friend not our best leader. We all wish him to rest in peace in Tigray not in the soil of Oromia or Ethiopia.

It is unfortunate human being destiny is determined by God to die. No one will escape this reality. However, I am not happy because he is sick. As a human being I want him to leave his full life for his family. However,I don’t want to decide in God place how Melese life should be end, but I want Melese to face justice. I know the previous king was killed but was not reviled to the public. It would have been a lesson for those who took over after him and confidence for Ethiopian people if it was publicly communicated. Dictator Mengistue still alive. After he committed genocide in many part of the country. Although the genocide committed by Melese is far more than Mengistu, I still have a hope that Mengistu will come to Ethiopia to face Justice one day. However, Melese Genocide was committed not only on the people it was committed on the integrity of the country. I know today some Ethiopia choices external comfort from internal freedom become slave on their own country. Although you can feed your stomach better than those suppressed people since you liberty measured by your daily consumption, you soul is in prison because your liberty will be given to you daily depending on your performance and trust to the dictator Melese and his inner circle not because you are a citizen. I hope Ethiopian people will see justice prevail.

Non of Ethiopian leaders in the past compromised willingly their country integrity to protect their power. I know today some Ethiopia choices external comfort from internal freedom and became slave on their own country. Although they can feed their stomach better than those suppressed people, their liberty measured by their daily consumption their soul is in prison because their liberty measured and given to them according to their daily trustworthy performance to the dictator Melese and his inner circle not because they are a citizen. It was wittiness by many of his former slaves once they change their life style and realize their citizenship rights demand their concern thrown to jail or left the country. I read some comment regarding Melese contribution to our country, which I don’t argue that any persone you give him work for a day at least for 1 hour he has to be productive unless he is moron, but his destruction is far more than his constructive work in the country for the last 38 years. Do you know how many elders and young children were killed by Melese before he took power. There are many grave in Tigriay still holding mass murdered Tigrian youth who trusted and join the struggle but opposed and challenged TPLF idea. I hope Ethiopian people will see justice.

  15. Netsanet Seretse says:

From childhood to my present age,I have been told and preached that GOD has a special place for ETHIOPIA; and the country and people of ETHIOPIA are under the close protection and safeguard of the ALMIGHTY. I was a kind of hesitant to accept.
However, there comes the time which makes anyone believe and accept. The mystry of GOD toward the mother land and its innocent people has become a reality today by the punishment and verdict of the LORD to the TPLF leader- Legesse Zenawi. There is no one who can escape the LORD’s decision and Virdict! The LORD’s COURT is different from the TPLF’s Kangaroo court— ISH ALAH!!!!! Wodefit!!! The lord heard the voices of the innocent from KALITI; the voices of the remenants of the WALDEBA monastry!and the millions of Ethiopians under tyranny!

  19. tisqind says:

Zinawi has been in disagreement with God for nearly four decades, and being born and raised in hate manufucturing house was taught to hate Ethiopians.

Look, where he is now.One of the most grinding deseases that he is suffering from now is,blood disorder;worse enough,he has crippled jaws due to damaged muscles at the base;not only this, since he has lost billions of brain cells, nerves beginning from back of he head down to and along the spinal cord are all crippled,as a result he is engulfed with grinding forces namely, anxiety and phobia.yes, he is a habitual lier and an addict to khat and blood;with these very serious illnesses,it is unlikely the robber will ever set his feet alive in Ethiopia.

Who will be the most to lose this, the soon to perish robber, and who will be coffin bearer? There will be no one who is suitable for this job ie it must be Barakat Simon. This snake-look banda, frist and foremost must have not set his feet in the lands where his Italian Masters were crushed to death;as much as he has been mourning the death his Italian Masters for nearly half a century,he is now ready mourn the loss of one of his crime prtners, zinawi;therefore,he is the one who is going to place the coffin on top his head and march to Nakf Cave for the burial of his good frined and a peer.

  23. Manu says:

All men are mortal. Ato Meles is a man. Therefore, Ato Meles is Mortal. History will judge him one way or another. Let’s not write his obituary prematurely.
