  1. Suffer alive says:

It is not fair for this devil to die so quite so soon, without suffering alive.

He should not have died before facing justice and serving time for the attrocities he commited on Ethiopia and its people at large.

I thougt quite death is reserved for the innocent only. Even if his soul will pay dearly by burning in hell forever, his flesh should have felt the same pain (if not more) that he caused to so many Ethiopians and Somalians.

May his soul burn in hell for good.

  2. zulj says:

Normally I feel sorry when a fellow human being dies. However, I don’t have any feelings about this merecenary. Thousads died under his direct order. May his soul rotte in hell!

  3. Satenaw says:

When and where is he going to be buried?

  4. Bahru says:

This information is from credible insider source: Prime Minister Meles is in good health condition. He wants to show the world how EPRDF is tight and strong in keeping secrets. Soon he will be in office. What will you say then?

  5. Teddy says:

I seriously doubt this story is true. I don’t mind to see him go, but nobody in Brussels has heard about it, at least not yet.

  6. Olii says:

This rerport is absuletly wrong. ESAt has been fabricating lies.

  7. Kulfo says:

    Dawit,

You should have waited until you get credible source. How could you trust a novice journalist- Messay as a trusted news sources?

You will be ashamed the next day around.

    • Truth says:

      @Kukfoo
You should be fucked up by the ruling party.

    • ETHIO says:

what if it is true? or you want to tell us that he is not going to die? GOD bless his soul, he was one of terrible leader Ethiopia had. learn from him,he die but amhara people are still live.

      • Merdasa says:

@Kulfo, Whom are your credible sources?ETV ,Berket or Shimelis? your media which fabricate a pack of lies? Any ways let me say R.I.P though it is bitter fact to you to accept the truth about the death of your biggest boss.VIVA MESSAY!

        • Kulfo says:

Yes, ETV, Bereket Shimelis are liers. Who said they are not?

But when it comes to the story about Meles’s death, ESAT has become the mother of all lies. Even the diehard opposition websites have ignored the news(exept ECADF, the wing of ESAT), let alone DW, VOA, ….

By the way, a ‘trusted source’ could include, Crisis Group itself, CNN, AFP, Routers, EU, Government/Hospital at Belgium, etc, etc.

If I were you, I wouldn’t let fucked up by juvenile journalist (Messay), who wanted to get name recognition from this incidence. If you love him, please allow him to listen, before he opnes up his mouth. ESAT is big, and it should take a high road. If this opinion disappoint you, sorry. As I have predicted, Dawit has come to the truth made corrections on the posting of the news. I think it is a teachable moment.

      • Name (required) says:

what does mean amhara people ,are you carzy? out of mind think twice

      • samuel says:

what does mean amhara people ,are you carzy? out of mind think twice ok

      • beyya says:

Fascist dictator Meles Zenawi evicted tens of thousands of Ethiopians of the Amhara ethnic group from Benchi-Maji zone of southern Ethiopia. As expected, his explanation is full of lies. There can be no justification what so ever for evicting 78,000 people after confiscating their properties and burning down their homes. It’s an ethnic cleansing by any measurement and a crime against humanity.

      • Amhara says:

you foolish dick head, there are a lot of brilliant guys from amhara, do u figured out what is gonna happen next? ok let say he is gone, who will come and lead this vast combination of people currently? go and learn first before posting comments!!

  8. Raza says:

We have no enough reason not to believe ESAT. Otherwise, it was up to TPLF to let it’s own people know the truth rather than fighting over every single words.

    Raza

  9. Ignorant amhara says:

This is fake; Meles will be in office when he finish his holiday. Meles is on Thailand islands with his wife, kids,… not even in hospital. kkkk, you will bleed from inside when he starts work in his office soon. Savage, if Meles is your nightmare, Abay Weldu will be the worst for you. Meles is good foreverone. If he was against amhara, he would not marry Azeb Mesfin. Meles is for equality, not for any one tribe. You do not like equality because you think you were more Ethiopian than other Ethiopian? well, that is gone now forever.

    • a quote from SEBHAT NEGA says:

“We fought for Eritrean independence from the colonial rule of Ethiopia. Even now, if Eritrea is attacked, TPLF would jump into Eritrea, join the Eritrean people and engage the enemy.” – Sebhat Nega on Radio Woyane (May 28, 2007)

In a four-part interview with TPLF radio on May 28, 2007, TPLF chief Sebhat Nega said time and again that no one fought for Eritrean independence from an Ethiopian colonial rule like TPLF did. “We paid dearly to liberate Eritrea,” he said. “Even if Eritrea comes under attack today,” Sebhat warned, “I’ve no doubt the EPRDF-led government would jump into Eritrea, join the Eritrean people and engage the enemy.”

TPLF has since its inception been controlled by mercenary elements that fought against Ethiopia as their enemy. The group that wiped out so many lives and terrorized Tigrians into slavery and servitude, is still in power. If Ethiopia is turned into a failed, landlocked state, it is with a purpose. Read details from the historical facts presented by Asgede G. Selassie, author of Gahdi 1 and Gahdi 2. A survivor of the pogrom, Asgede was one of the 11 rebels who founded TPLF.

May this evil fascist called meles burn in hell!
TPLF stooges have time to line up yourselves with the rest of the Ethiopian people. You should think as people belonging to one country called Ethiopia. meles has killed many people regardless of tribal, ethnic origin although his main targeted victims were amharas.

Put some sense in yor head and abandon ship while you have time. the status quo where the woyane thugs try to rule by inciting inter-ethnic violence and murder, hatred and animosity among the population cannot continue.

  10. Nebro says:

Finally after 22 years. Thanks God

  11. tom says:

He was a mass murderer, a robber,a liar, and a devil. He killed my family member, so I hate him. I am happy God has taken this evil man. Our prayers are answered, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Haben says:

It is very sad to see some of you are itching to see Meles die. Rest assured – virtually nothing will change in the way TPLF functions.
Dawit – you may realize your mistakes very soon.

  13. bold says:

    Rest in Hell

  14. lemma says:

We all know what the state media broadcasting and busting their crappy news…Nevertheless when we come to other private source of news are most crappier, worst and irresponsible than that of state governed media…this time Ethiopia needs who preaches love and teaches ppl to respect each other instead putting ppl in confusion….

It might be another turning point for Ethiopian on danger zone worst than 60s and 70s if we couldn’t properly handle it the confusion of the nation

specially who act as journalist ……. 🙁

  15. Meron says:

Dawit, what a shame are you. I used to think you are a bit better than the crowd you belong, which i call you for my self, self-declared journalists 🙂
But you are not different than the ‘brown condor’.

  18. nardi says:

I would say he is dead since 40 days ago. I am not happy with someone’s suffering or death. However this guy o! o! o! God, he is really a hell. He is master of confusion. He is master of silent killing. He is master of division. If He is lost by God will. Our suffering will be immense, no one could predict what will happen to Ethiopians. he is unpredictable.

I am sure when i am writing this message GOd said to me look what your sins are.. ya i did sins and God will judge me.

God this guy melse is a leader for 80 milion. But he never be a leader. Whenever we want to accept him as our leader, he betrayed us. He insulted us. he killed kids, youth and elders. God we are tired of him. we want him to be with you, hold him down their. You bless him his soul but dont let him come ever ever ever ever in flesh again to Ethiopia.

  19. woyenne says:

  21. azanaw says:

Dawit, you are very respected journalist but do you think that is possible to hide anybody’s dath in Europe? B/c it is not possible to transport dade body without dath certificate, if he got this certificate, in my opinion it can be easy to confirm his dath. Check your reliable source. Esat is not reliable b/c they telling us what they want to happen.

    Thanks

  22. Dawit says:

Dear Awramba Editor, I remember your “News Paper” how it was challenging the TPLF regime until it is banned. what happen now? where is that braveness and courage ?what is your stand now?

I have been watching your site since you join www, however, i could not see any objectivity in your reports ….. are you trying to play the fair and balance bela bela here? Brother, journalistic rule, ethics, or regulation works only where there is press freedom. as for our condition, ether you fight the regime for freedom or support the regime for free bread. So, there is no grey spot here ! Just Black or white! As i see you, you are on the grey spot where there is no audience. Otherwise, Sebihat nega says, Mimi sebhatu accusation , are totally irrelevant to our objectivity .

BTW, you do not seem very happy with meles death. I mean, the way you report his death is so smooth and you did not even mention his dictatorship … is that how you …being fair or is that cos you have some hidden respect for the killer. Journalism is a serious business in which you should act quick and perform smart! if you can not smart it out…you better drop off soon. i am saying this from my observation that all the talent and firm stands behind the awramba times are left at home. Only the so-called managing editor come to usa with a big title but empity…

    • dawit 2 says:

      Dawit – well said.
But don’t forget the saying, “blood is thicker than …” When Teddy Afro published his masterpiece ጥቁር ሰው Dawit was the first person to give history lesson to Teddy by mentioning what he called them “የታሪክ ግድፈቶች” (historical errors) about the lyrics of the song. ዳዊት ከበደ በጣም የማከብርህ ጋዜጠኛ ነበርክ አሁን ግን በጣም ታዘቤሃለሁ::

      • awraris says:

@Dawit I respect your stand. But for your information, Dawit Kebede of Awramba didn’t write anything about Teddy Afro. It was another Dawit Kebede who is the editor of http://www.ethioforum.org from Atlanta shares his view on Tikur sew.

  23. azanaw says:

  28. romanovskji says:

I didn’t think that this regime was so bad, like some of you describe here…But I agree with Gheday, as no metter what the country needs an opposition…So, yea let’s think ahead, and let’s try to create the ground to the so called democracy….some of you wayning amhara non amhara….there is more then 80 ethnic goups…..and everybody suffered something here and there in the past, unfortunatly ophten, by the by the heands of so called Amhara….really I am not a man that goes into this kind of talks…..I thruely belive in Andnet….I have learned to understand that some of us, think we are better then others…..specially tigre and amhara….(me being sun of tigre), but then everybody else do the same at their own houses…..Even the Oromo, whom are, the biggest and the most important (as a culture) group we have, can not claim to be better then anyother groups…I am you, and what I desend from, gave the world all tree important religions to the world, Beta Israel is bale abbat in Ethiopia, Ortodox coptic cristianity is balabbat in Ethiopia and last but not list, Islam is balabbat in Ethiopia….we are so many so diverce, that is about time, we start paying attention to each other…..

And one more thing, Amarigna is everybodies….it is not property of the so called Amaras, it is thanks to the effort of many young Oromos, Tigres, and you go on and on, who made this languege what it is, in the past centuery…..I feel sorry that many don’t want to use it…specially many of the deasporas….It’s ok it is our languege….I love you all man….shiiiii

  29. Tazabi says:

The truth is Meles’s death is not going to bring the change that those who are wishing good thing to come. Meles could die any time. Unfortunately, there is no alternative organization who can challenge the Weyanes to come to rescue Ethiopia and Ethiopians. That should have been the issue instead of talking non-sense of Meles being dead or alive.

Probably Meles is dead and enjoying his hell, or he is still suffering in any place. That is nothing to me comparing to what the people of Ethiopia is suffering currently and for the forseable future.
Wake up people fight for your right. Organize, take opportunity that is currently baking in Ethiopia. Join who ever is working to unseat the Weyane regime. The Islamic movement the Christian movement are now ribe to use them.

    • mike says:

Yall are sad. When a leader of ure country dies this is the respect u show. Wrong or right he was the leader. And he did more good than bad we all know that. thats wat leaders do. Its a shame. Thats why other nations look down on ethiopia… com on everyone stop with the ignorance!

  36. lily says:

Why are u worried so much while the morn bereket simen is still hear.

  37. Brhanu Balaker says:

I helped close to 150,000 ethiopians to blame Meles Zenawi as i filled asylum for those who came to America. I able to picture meles Zenawi as a butcher in USA immigration courts and my clients able to get asylum. Most of them are Amharas and Gurages.

It was my wish that Meles died before he hunts me down for my agression against his government.

Now we are prepared to take over the TPLFs position and will revenge on Tigre people.
